It’s a long road to publish a book. You’re going to need a guide.

Sleeper Story (n):

A story you’ve been meaning to write, but you never got around to it. Or it seems too scary. Or too big. You don’t feel like you have the expertise or the following, or you just never felt ready to write it.

But it keeps calling to you, doesn’t it?

Writing a book is one of the most rewarding adventures I’ve ever been on—and I’ve been on some crazy adventures. Every time I see the smile on an author’s face when they finally hold their book in their hand, I remember why I do this work.

Don’t let your story sleep forever. It wants to be told—and others want to hear. I can help.

I write books for a living, and I still didn’t write my own story . . . until I got a guide.

I sat down to write my own story over and over again. I started. I waffled. I put it aside. I wrote hundreds of pages and got nowhere.

But the whole time, I kept telling myself, “I don’t need a book coach. I write other people’s books for a living!” I kept saying that I would do it on my own. I told myself that I didn’t need to spend the money on a coach. I would just take a few days off and really write, or put myself on a schedule, or give myself deadlines, or incentives. And still my book didn’t get written.

When I finally bit the bullet and got myself a book coach, I couldn’t believe how long I’d waited—how many years I’d put it off. Of course I needed someone to sit alongside me, to cheer me on and give me honest feedback, to set deadlines and hold me accountable, to tell me what was working and help me think things through when I was stuck.

I know book coaching works because I’ve seen it work for the dozens of people I’ve worked with over the years. But I also know it works because it worked for me. It’s a long road. I’ve got you.

“Working with Mark was an incredible experience. They were a true thought partner throughout the entire process of writing Mindfire.

They helped my co-author and I shape the structure of the book from the ground up, think through how to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly, and make smart decisions about what to include (and what to leave out). They had a real feel for tone and pacing, helped refine analogies, and made sure the writing stayed consistent and accessible from start to finish - and truly reflected my voice.

We truly couldn’t have done it without Mark’s guidance, creativity, and steady presence throughout the project.”
